Mad World of Tuition in India

It's another early foggy morning of north India. Teenagers in all hues of winter wear are rushing out of their home. No! No! this is not a sign of health consciousness in an otheriwse lethargic country. They are rushing to attend their tuition classes.
Causes and excuses are many. Teachers not delivering in schools, parents not having time or inclination to do homework for their kid's needs. So the easy way out is forking out extra bucks for getting the proverbial extra edge for their kids in examinations.

As per a recent report published in The Times of India, parents, on an average spend about Rs. 87000 per year for supplementary study if their children are studying in higher secondary school. CBSE coaching is a rage in the country as it is supposed to open the gates of dream instituitons of India, and later for dream careers.

Gone are the days when parents or some uncle or elder cousin used to give tips for board examination. But nobody is complaining. Not even those private tutors who are singing all the way to the bank. The ultimate sufferes, kids, must be ruing over their lost childhood.

Satyam Shivam Sundaram

Ramalingam Raju should watch this movie to excellup his conscience. He has done a great disservice to not only his organization but to the nation as a whole.

One should not forget that if he is at helm of a limited company, his actionand inaction affects a vast section of society.

Although majority of Indian business persons cook their account book. But if a person from a big organization does this, it creates a bad precedence.

No matter how excellent your bad karma is, crime will always land you up in the soup.

Don't excellup in bad corpaorate governance but excellup in good corporate governance.

How to excellup like Mumbai Police

The scenes were quite predictable in Mumbai terror attacks. But one thing which was heartening to note was the efficiency with which Mumbai police evacuated the VT station and other danger prone areas.

I am not comparing anything with clockwork precision with which things happen in western nations while dealing with such situations.

Let us comapre this with what happened in Delhi during serial blasts and during Mehrauli blast. Poor crowd management increased the risk during Delhi serial blasts. To utter shock of everyone, delhi police personnel were seen washing every evidence down the drain in flower market in Mehrauli. Curious onlookers further compunded the problem for security.

Contrary to this the deserted look of Mumbai streets gives a thumbs up and full marks to Mumbai authorities the way they have handled this situation.

This clearly shows the way how to excellup in the face of shortage of resources.
